That's right. John pays his own travel expenses, covers the price
of the advertising materials, and provides workbook and CD sets
to each participant free of charge. The only responsibility the
church has to deal with is providing the facility. All PGW revenues
are generated through individual tuition fees.
A contact person will be needed in your area. Maybe this is you!
The contact person acts as a liaison, introducing John to the church
leadership and helps to establish booking dates. Next comes spreading
the word through various forms of advertising, which John will then
provide in your host packet (pictured here). The rest is answering
phone calls and emails and signing people up for the event. It takes
a little effort, but John will provide everything you need to make
the process easy and fun.
All that is really needed to host a Praise Guitar workshop is a
room big enough to house 20-50 guitar players with guitars and cases,
an adequate number of chairs for them to sit in, and an overhead
projector for John.
Once the church leadership agrees to host a workshop and the dates
are set, John will send out a host packet to the contact person.
This packet will include a cover letter, instructions as to how
to advertise the event, a sign-up roster and check list to keep
track of calls and emails from interested parties, promotional videos
that describe the workshop, hundreds of flyers and 10 full color flyer displays (to be put up at churches, book
stores, etc.).
